If you don't mind me asking... Why did you and your ex break up?
It wasnt rly an "ex" cos we were just dating and weren't official but i ended it cos i wasn't in a healthy mental state back then & i didnt want to hurt anyone any longer so i called everything off. To me at that time was the best thing i could do to protect the people i cared for
Does JC have school holiday during Teacher’s Day tmr?
Im not sure hahaa im not in sg!
what are the coping mechanism you've found pretty effective during the post breakup period?
For me it was different cos it kinda happened at the same time as other things (I was dealing w personal issues, family issues, academics and friendships problems at the same time too) so I can't exactly pinpoint how I got over the breakup but I'd say time is the best antidote for it. If my friend was in your case I'd advise her to delete his contact if really necessary, delete photos if you find yourself crying over them every day, stop yourself from texting/calling him, keep yourself busy and distracted from this. Most importantly, surround yourself and spend more time w your family & friends! And do more things during your alone time and find joy in being by yourself. :)
how do i be happy
Ask yourself this: if you had one day on earth and if you could do anything you wanted for the last time, what would you do? Do the things you love, don't coop up yourself and keep things in. Try to vent your feelings. Surround yourself with people who love you and people you love. Happiness is a choice. Don't be an architect of your own unhappiness. I know it's easier said than done and sometimes it feels like you can never be truly happy but trust me, at the end of the day, only the little things in life matter. So do what you love and always prioritise your happiness above anyone else's. Choose happiness, every second. ?
