i actually did cut my hair short but just spent the past year growing it out. i only cut my hair once during the past year so you can see how slow my hair grew ㅠㅈㅠ

all my non-crack fics are written based on personal experience. the latest fic too, don't need the universe (http://paper-scribbles.livejournal.com/44818.html) is based on places i've been and things i did, with a dose of fiction. i actually did take the exact poses in the photographs with my ex in hongkong tho.
How were you in high school?
bleh high school. i was known as the kpop chick but i think i was pretty lowkey? never quite fit in and mainly stuck to my own cliques. probably came off as stuck up because i simply didn't know how to talk to the others. we had nothing in common.

Drabble of Kai watching dating alone
jongin chews on his blanket anxiously as chanyeol fidgets in his seat on screen, confession on the tip of his tongue.
"i-" chanyeol begins, looking as nervous as jongin feels. chanyeol leans closer to the camera and jongin feels a rush to his brain so fast he gets a little dizzy.
then the door swings open and jongin quickly slams his laptop shut.
"are you watching porn?" kyungsoo asks, squinting at jongin. "because i'll leave you alone."
"yes," jongin blurts out. it's so much easier to explain than the clenching feeling in his stomach when he watches chanyeol gently brush the girl's hair away, and jongin has never been more thankful for kyungsoo's bad eyesight.
kyungsoo shrugs and tosses the box of tissues over. "knock yourself out."
"hyung, GET OUT!" jongin yelps in mortification and kyungsoo lets himself out with a smirk.
the tissues lie mockingly in front of him.

i've never dated before and i'm 18 :( is that weird? whats the best thing abt dating?
ofc not! i started dating way later than you did haha. mmm i don't really like dating tbh but the nicest part is probably the cuddling? i loved snuggling under blankets and listening to his heartbeat. it's nice to have a warm body next to you during winter.

i now work for the melbourne tourism board lol so i can only talk about melbourne but melbourne's famous for having 4 seasons in one day. for the most part, the weather's never too extreme so it has a nice mix of chilly and sunny days.
the people are all hipster. for women, high buns, sleek black blouse and loud shoes. men are in button downs, skinnies and leather shoes. but there is a lot of artistic expression! the goth punk culture there is huge, so i could wear anything i want, even the weirdest things, and a lot of strangers would compliment my clothes. there's art hidden in every nook and cranny, and the absolute best flea markets ever. so many handmade wonders and trendy food (gluten-free, vegan, organic, insert power word here).
melbourne doesn't have its own food identity but expect a lot of brunches (all the egg benedict you can have) and greek food! it's very compact so you could travel 15 minutes one end and hit a semi decent beaches or 20 the other and find a pretty hill.
there are no animals in the city just a lot of seagulls and possums. they will try to steal your fries. do not feed them fries. drive an hour away and you can see wild kangaroos tho! and koalas. go to the great ocean road in winter and you can even see whales migrating.
australia offers one year working holiday visas so you can explore that! but the work will be service jobs and the pay will be shitty :c none of my roommates stuck out the full year in australia. they usually found it boring after 4-5 months and travelled across asia instead. it's also pm impossible to get a permanent residence now :c

mmm i think it was always more of a case of jongin liking sehun a bit more as a friend. they were close because they've been together in the same school and were trainees together but jongin probably tried a bit harder.
and then sehun's tastes starting changing, started getting a bit bolder and more daring and jongin still lives in his oversized shirts and ratty jeans. naturally, sehun sought out zitao, who shares his same taste in the flashy and gaudy and maybe jongin sometimes wonder why they don't talk anymore.

finance, IT or anything tech-related? all jobs require you to meet some degree of people but it's safe to say that tech-related jobs are less exposed to strangers.

nah he's my #2, but i can like him while disagreeing with him. i don't like his backhanded comments and i've pointed this out many times. it doesn't mean i dislike him. i like many things about him - his constant attempts to cheer up the mood, his ability to take the lead, his passion for music, just not this particular side of him.

as for how they're portrayed in fics, i don't like how earlier (and aff) kailu fics portrayed jongin as this mean overbearing guy and luhan as weak. luhan is anything but weak. he's probably one of the guys who stood to his resolve the most in exo back then. china line are all a bit more headstrong than korean line anyway. and come on, jongin, tough? he's so TENDER.
then kailu kinda died off and the only people that stuck around in kailu ficdom were the hardcore shippers and i liked the fics generated then! i like it when writers (pinkbit?? ree was Kailu Princess) write luhan as this crazy unhinged dude and jongin as a confused pup just following luhan's lead. i don't read angst so idk about that.
