Я сейчас учу только незнакомые слова, которые заданы по individual reeding и по home reeding
То есть ты выбираешь книгу, и читаешь ее в течение месяца, после сдаешь письменный и устный пересказ и незнакомые слова из всей книги
А home reeding - нам выдает декан фак-та книгу, к примеру сейчас мы читаем Tess of the d'Urbervilles и в конце каждой недели мы сдаем по 2 главы с письменным пересказом и переводом, с выписанными незнакомыми словами + 15 вопросов по тексту
Вот эти слова и учу, иногда попадаются вставные конструкции, их тоже заучиваю

As a radiologist:
1- You will probably enjoy a great lifestyle compared to most other specialties in medicine if you go for anything but Interventional Neuroradiology (getting called in to coil/embolize/stent a ruptured intracranial aneurysm/AVM at 2:00am is not the greatest lifestyle one would look for!). I don't think any other sub-specialty of Radiology has the same crappy lifestyle, but I could be wrong. Don't get me wrong, I respect interventional neuroradiologists, they do save lives, I'm just saying that their lifestyle sucks.
2- If you choose any field of diagnostic radiology, your work life is gonna consist mostly of hours and hours of sitting in front of large good quality screens, reeding films and dictating reports. That's now essentially a bad thing, some people like this type of work, where you have the minimum interaction with patients, and the maximum interaction with physicians. Because every physician who wants to know what that thing on the CT scan is, will come and humbly ask you about what you think it is.
3- In North America, Radiologists are very well paid because they bill for every study they read and report. In Saudi, they are highly paid because it is considered a rare specialty. Interventionists are get an even higher paycheck.
4- You will be working behind the scene. Patients will most likely think that you are a radiology technician (this is if they meet you to begin with). Yes you could become famous, but only within the medical field, not within the public as would a surgeon or an internist; because they admit patients under their names and treat them.
5- Radiology is one of the new specialties that was born after the birth of technological advancement in imaging modalities, computer hardware and software. Nothing grows faster than computer advancements nowadays, so there will always be new things to learn about.
6- Since Radiologists read any kind of images ordered by any physician in any specialty, their training includes knowledge about all other specialties, which means a lot of reading during training, because you have to know how every disease known to mankind, in any specialty, would look like on imaging studies. An exciting idea for people who crave to learn and read more. ER, Anesthesiology, ICU, Pathology and Primary Care are other specialties that are like Radiology in this aspect.
7- Nowadays, more fresh grads are leaning towards specialties that have a better lifestyle, higher income, and less patient interaction. Which made Radiology more competitive than before.
The Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM) in the states, managed to start agreements at probably more than four center in USA to accept Saudi residents in Radiology. I personally know more than 9 Saudi residents in Radiology in the United States.
It is not unreasonable to aim for radiology residency in the US. But you need to be competitive to increase your chances.
