RP Prompt: Your best friend is about to jump from a tall building! What do you do?

Tell them that I'm there for them and I'd miss them if they were gone and so would a lot of other people. And that things are never as hopeless as they seem, and that there are many great people willing to help.

When is cannibalism acceptable, if ever? And why do you think that?

Cannibalism is okay if you're in a really creepy VN and your name is Saya or Fuminori Sakisaka. Except it isn't because seriously that's creepy and disturbing and why.

Favorite Koopaling?

You know I was going to make a joke about Roy and FE Roy, but I really dislike FE Roy, so that plan's a bust. I don't know. I guess I'll go with Ludwig just because him being named after Beethoven is amusing to me.

What emoji do you wish existed?

I don't know, but this made me think of Emo Kyouji, which made me think of that drawing of Kyouji with Hazuki's color scheme, though I don't think he was really "emo" there either. ... What were we talking about again?

Am I secretly going to ask you a question to try to remind people that I still answer questions? (Shameless advert! Shameless advert!)

Is Enigma even a real person?

Are you the only one from AAO who still responds/is active on Ask.FM? Are there any others at all?

I have absolutely no idea. I honestly didn't check this thing for months and was surprised that I received a couple of questions when I finally checked again (and even more surprising was that they had only been asked a few days before I decided to check. Would have expected month-old questions). I think I saw Kwando and a few other people posting responses, but I think those are mostly the daily prompts. I think Ask.fm on AAO is pretty much dead.

You were right in those assumptions. But if there are some where romance isn't the main focus all that much, I guess I'd be interested in at least hearing what they are. If there's no eroge elements then that's a mega plus too.

Cho Dengeki Stryker is basically my favorite game on Steam right now. It does have romance (that you really can't ignore) but the Steam version removes the sex scenes, and I'd argue that the story is more about heroism and idealism rather than romance. It does the whole "examining what it truly means to be a hero" thing that I really love and have a soft spot for. It's also one of the few localized VNs I know of that has a lot of action. Definitely worth a look if you're interested in Affectionate Parody of comic superheroes that can also be serious as the VN goes on. Keep in mind that you'll probably need a moderately high amount of Suspension of Disbelief to fully enjoy it. (Also it has a ninja from Texas, which is the best character concept ever.) The Steam version does cost about 35 dollars though, but it can go as low as 17-18 dollars if it's on sale. I paid near full price for it. It's the most I've ever paid for anything on Steam. Don't regret it one bit. Keep in mind that it's a pretty long VN if you read through all the routes. I'd say about 30-40 hours depending on your reading speed.
I wouldn't call it "excellent", but Cherry Tree High Comedy Club is also a VN on Steam that's decent if you want Slice of Life stuff, along with its shorter sequel, Cherry Tree High I! My! Girls!. The first game has Dating Sim elements, but it's more like a Friendship Sim, and I don't recall any actual romance beyond some ship teasing that's mostly played for laughs. The second one is more of a regular VN without gameplay. They're both short, especially the sequel. I think that together they might total 7-8 hours. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon though. Last I checked, buying both as a pack runs you about 10 dollars. The first game has a demo on Steam, but I'm not sure how well it represents the game as a whole.
If you want pure crack Visual Novels that make no sense in the best possible way (that aren't on Steam), check out OMGWTFOTL, as well as Mankai Chirarism Dai 1 Wa. They're both extremely short (the former is about half an hour long, the latter is about ten minutes) but you'll become a more enlightened person for it. Both are legally free. OMGWTFOTL "technically" has romance, but it's more a short scenario that is a parody of romance VNs anyway that takes up a small portion of the entire thing. Mankai's main two characters are also technically a couple (... Maybe, it's confusing), but read it anyway because the entire thing is nonsensical and full of deep hidden meanings. Like I said, they're extremely short and also free.

What are the best visual novels that aren't dating sims or anything along those lines?

"Dating Sims" are those stat-based games that CAN be romance VNs, but they're not exactly the same, but I get what you mean. You're asking for visual novels that don't have a romantic focus. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm going to assume you want me to discount Eroge too. I'm going to avoid discussing AA and DR and anything else that's basically super well-known because that'd be too obvious. I feel like I'm leaving out a LOT of stuff since I'm making plenty of assumptions here, so feel free to clarify if I'm making incorrect assumptions.
Anyway... I'm going to recommend Snatcher. It's a graphic-adventure by Hideo Kojima. It has an LP on the LP Archive so you can experience it that way. If Kojima's work interests you at all, it's worth a look. Keep in mind that the main character CAN act like a creep if you pick the options to be one, but most of that is optional. (So... Not going to lie. A LOT of VNs I like have romance or are Eroge, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about this. There are plenty I can name with romance where you could enjoy it for other aspects though, or where the romance honestly isn't the main focus.)

Do you think Pokemon battling is worthy of being called an art?

Anything can be art if it means enough to you. Just don't crank up the pretentiousness.

I am Future!GD. I have a grave warning for you. Whatever you do, don't go to a site called Ace Attorney Online. It will ruin you. Heed this warning.

I don't know what this "Ace Attorney Online" thing is, but it sounds like a snack.
