What got you into the Rance series?
Well the short answer is Sengoku, but I only got into the rest of the series after I'd kind of exhausted Sengoku's possibilities playing it like 20 times. I've mentioned this before but a big part of the reason why I like the series so much is like.. how barefaced it is about its erotic content. It annoys me when a game feels like it's trying to tell a serious story, say a murder mystery or something (NOT TO NAME ANY NAMES...), but then also throw in sex scenes that don't really have anything to do with the plot and feel really out of place... Rance on the other hand is serious about telling its story (though the stories aren't always super serious) and about making the sexy stuff part of the story. And it's very upfront about it. So the attitude, I guess, was a big draw for me. Plus it's got a lot of really good characters (most of whom are girls, which is always a plus) and great music. And they're really fun games! With a lot of girls. Did I mention the girls are cute. Ahem. Okay I've got work to do.
