hi. can you write a fic wherein kyungsoo has a girlfriend and she got pregnant then she left her baby (asher) to soo then soo meets jongin.
heartbreak feels like sunyoung slamming the doors in his face, fake-crying about her life getting ruined, demanding a hefty compensation sum for giving birth to their child and then leaving the said child at his front door and then never looking back. there's a lot more to that -- betrayal, anger and /hurt/ because kyungsoo realises what this means. sunyoung doesn't want to be with him. whatever promises of forever that they had made in the course of their relationship vanish as soon as the baby is born.
six years on, kyungsoo is better but this doesn't mean he doesn't feel anything looking at his daughter, small face and tiny hands but a big heart wanting love from both of her parents. he smile reminds him of sunyoung; kyungsoo still lingers around of course people will talk. soomin, for all of her brilliance, realises that she's different and comes home from school, crying and asking for her mother.
"why don't i have a mother?" she weeps into his shirt, tiny fists balled against his chest. "everyone else has a mom! why don't i have one?"
kyungsoo doesn't reply, immediately, choosing to chuck his daughter slightly over the chin before leaving a gentle kiss to her forehead. he thumbs away the tears streaming down her face and inhales slowly, trying to calm himself down. "you do have one, soomin. you know how busy mommy is-"
"till she doesn't want to see me?" her voice has dropped to a quiet whisper; she's not crying, now but staring at her fingers, knitted eyebrows and a deep downturn of her mouth and kyungsoo thinks this is heartbreak, too. in the smallest of ways and the cruelest because he will never truly understand how soomin feels, especially at such a tender age.
"no," kyungsoo whispers, lifting her chin with a finger so she can look at him. "she's just busy and it doesn't matter, alright? daddy's here, okay... and i'll always want to see you!" he tickles her and smiles when she squeaks with laughter.
leaning in close to kyungsoo, soomin wraps her thin arms around his neck and says, "i want some ice cream.
"and we'll go get some!"
he carries her over his shoulder, shaking his head at her playful shrieks of /let me down, appa! let me down!/ small hands pounding against his back as he walks over to a nearby ice-cream shop. he doesn't put her down until they've reached the shop, soomin all smiling and dizzy as she leans over the display to look at the flavours available for the day.
kyungsoo is spending another late night at the office and this means that he has to leave soomin at his mother's place yet again, hearing his daughter's disgruntled voice for not being able to pick her up. it has happened just last week; soomin has a great memory and he knows he will not be easily forgiven, this time.
"i love you, soomin," he says into room, and waits in silence as his eyes zoom in on the charts he's supposed to be incorporating into his report. soomin lets out a huge breath and in the background, he hears his mother chides her for it.
