I just wanted to come here and say that I'm a huge fan of your work. Your KFX are almost always total eyecandy (especially for Charlotte and Dandelion!) and I sometimes replay OPs/EDs just to look at the KFX again. Can't wait to see what else you can bring, Jocko!
Sorry it took me so long, I've forgotten about this. Thanks a lot! Keep an eye out, I'll be doing a couple things this season.
Are you syndicate or cartel member?
I think I'm a traitor and both.
Next month i go to Argentinia, so let's meet IRL!
I'm scared ;_;
Hola, ¿qué tal?
Hola. Bien, supongo. Cansado. ¿Vos?
How did you start with fansubbing?
For some reasons I had a lot of free time and it was starting to weigh on me so I was looking for things to do and I saw a timer recruiting post on doki. Once a timer I started picking up the rest by myself/reading guides/asking people.
Are you cute shota or cute loli?
I'm not sure I'm cute at all.
What you're doing is fcking great! Thank you for work!
Thanks! I'm glad you like it.
When can we get another guide? Sorry, but to finally have some proper kfx guides avaliable excites me is all :)
I have a blog (and plans to expand it soon) http://jockotan.wordpress.com/ but for a quick overview, I usually start by listening to the song a couple times and watching the animation. If I get inspired quickly I'll start working right away, otherwise I might put it on hold until I come up with something. I pick a style (font and colors) and start working on the base effects, like placing the lines, and transitions, and then depending on how complex the idea I have is I'll work on the rest of the stuff, like highlights, particles and such. Then it's a lot of watching again and again changing values until I get something I like, and making a similar effect for english translation (and kanji if I have them).
