I hope my grandkids have enough of a positive outlook to laugh with me while I'm dying, instead of being sad--just like im doing. So, sorry if getting to see my grandfather smile maybe for the last time offends you.

what have you done today?

I drove to iowa (stopped at the worlds largest truckstop) and went to the university of iowa's basketball game and now I'm with my grandpa at his nursing home. Next im going out to dinner then to watch my cousin play basketball and I'll drive home tonight :)

tell a funny story

I'm at the nursing home waiting for my grandpa because it takes him like 30 minutes to go to the bathroom and he's so delusional my family has bets on to see if he calls me by my sisters name
but I'm only here with my cousins and I'm waiting in the hallway and my grandpas door is open and he's trying to talk to us by screaming out of the door into the hallway and im trying not to laugh obnoxiously loud because he's so delirious it's funny
