You advise people not to overexert them and take frequent breaks. Does that mean your rise in skill is not proportional to the time you spend playing? i.e. playing 3 hours a day does not mean your improvement is 3x faster than playing 1h a day?
When you practice osu!, your brain will enhance and create new patterns between your brain cells to give a better understanding of what you're doing. Once you fall asleep, the brain will then review and further strengthen these links. This is why you sometimes improve a lot from 1 session to another.
The amount of stimulus in your brain you get from playing is not proportional to the length of exposure and personally I feel I need only about 30 minutes to start this cognitive process. Obviously, with some variation of what you practice, you can allow yourself to improve at several aspects at the same time, which is why I like to recommend people not to forget practicing more than just their favourite fast beatmaps
So long as you make sure you do this every longer session, I'm sure you will become much more versatile and can save you from hitting a huge wall in your skill progression.
