ahh it depends on how it's being used in a word... like ㅋ is explicitly the obvious k sound but ㄱ could sound like k even though it's technically g

no, 학년 would be pronounced hak-nyeon and 학생 would be hak-saeng. but in a way it could sound like ㅇ bc sometimes when you say it naturally or quickly, 학년 for example could sound like hang-nyeon but only slightly.

well first you have to know the basics: the korean alphabet, so you know what each letter sounds like. as your improving your reading, you really just have to keep practicing haha. learn what certain words sound like, and remember them to make it easier the next time you see that word or something similar to it.
