I think what I would so was start speaking to one of their friends, and just get to know them through that friend, and when you feel comfortable enough to tell the friend, tell them and get them to tell the person you liked, so it's not as awkward then get the friend to tell you what they said
Cause I said I was attracted to this girl and tbh no one thinks she attractive really, but I did idekw, and I just came out with I'm a lesbian, I find her attractive but I did it in a jokey way but at the same time I was being serious
