Ok, so I just got out from the cinemas after watching " Interstellar" and it sucked so much. However its the pathetic inspiration behimd this question. What is more important the species or the individuals ? If you had to choose between saving our race or saving your loved ones, whom would you pick ?

I couldn't sit quietly seeing how you insulted interstellar... The idea behind the movie is, agreed a bit unrealistic at the moment but the way it depicts human nature, that is truly remarkable.
As for your question, without being under the same duress as the characters were in the movie, you cannot expect an accurate answer. At the end of the day, humans are selfish and that selfishness is beautifully directed in Interstellar.
What you should ask yourself is if you were to be stuck on a deserted planet with no life for decades, would you be willing to jeopardize the future of the entire humankind just so you could be saved? Or would you have the guts to live to your utmost and die like everyone else?
#heightofseriousness :p

What if you took an atom from your body and replace it one by one, until you had replaced all your atoms. Then what if the atoms you took away, formed into another you. Which one would be the original?
