/ okay, so, muggins here completely fucked up the ask I made for Faye. Lemme explain, basically on Saturday I got false nails for a change ( only ever had them once before ) anyway, long story short my stupid fingers messed up the ask account password because of the acrylics so I’m now logged out of the account and put the wrong email in so can’t do the forgotten password bs. So, new plan, gonna make it tomorrow and make sure to 100% not screw it up. / honestly, not got an idea. If they would like to discuss this properly, then by all means message me, post me, send an off anon ask here ( if you put “d.a” afterwards off anon I won’t post it on my ask page and we can talk through questions privately – da meaning don’t answer ). I value honesty , and the only way we can be honest on here is showing whose who and linking opinions to people, that way the situation won’t be blown out of proportion and we’ll be able to handle the entire thing properly. :’)

Tried roleplaying with you over this whole time even when your posts weren't closed, so that's not the issue. I don't mean to sound offensive but this isn't only you, fcs aren't the problem in general (you can always find the fc with enough gifs)
/ please, by all means be honest. I value honesty and have massive respect for it. I apologise if that’s how it came across, that isn’t my intention. Sometimes I reply quicker to other posts if I have muse than others, and then forget, but that isn’t an excuse my mind is just elsewhere. I have noticed however that I am missing post notifications now that my walls are closed, so, if you have recently posted me and I skipped over it then this has got something to do with it. How about I correct this? If you link me your page or come off anon, I’ll be sure to post you once I’m on my laptop which hopefully will be soon.
I agree, there are still a wide source of faceclaims, however as I said, there has to be some element of understanding that people are naturally drawn to popular faceclaims. It’s very well that they’re being used, but I don’t think it’s fair to keep a faceclaim without any intention to use them unless people show interest. After the closing of HA and the admin, this has become a open world place for anyone to join at any point. It lacks rules and law and order now, which makes things difficult. We have to treat the place more like a democracy, which is why everyone’s opinion is valid despite contrasting and controversial opinions. I think if we all come off anon and state our views on the situation, it would be good because at least that way we can come to some understand of where everyone stands and whose on whose page. This faceclaim thing is a blip in the timeline, and once we figure out a solution, we’ll all be back on track. Personally, I think that ask is the easiest part of roleplaying – you get to explore your character, interact with others, etc – it’s fun, not mandatory, but fun. The roleplaying is the harder part, the time consuming section. It would be nice for people to post on ask at least once a week, as if to say “hi, I’m here, still using the character” even if it’s one or two questions. I understand not wanting to share faceclaims, but we also have to understand that some people feel differently and in order to come to some mutual understanding we need to meet each other halfway – to lack selfishness and in effect give up some things that we otherwise wouldn’t want to. I know this isn’t what some people want to hear, I totally get that and respect it, but we also need to take on board other people’s opinions and thoughts with the same amount of respect that we hold for those who agree with our own points.

You're saying that like you would be active anyway. Posted on your chars through time and you never respond unless it's certain admin Roman, Tommen or Harry.
/ actually, correction, I roleplay with plenty of other people not just roman, Tommen and Harry. I have various other roleplays going – not so much on Chloe considering I lack muse for her. I probably just missed your post, since both my walls are hidden since I’m more comfortable roleplaying like that ( insecurities and stuff ). If you come off anon and tell me who you are, I’ll sincerely apologise and be sure to post you asap. I’m not saying I’m 100% active as I struggle myself to keep active due to muse and because I’m currently in my second , and final, year of college when exams are coming up so I deem that more important. But please, by all means, since you don’t agree with my point and/or with me, feel fully free to come off anon and message me :’) anon is great and all, but I think that if we want to have a serious convo about this, it would be more personal and helpful if we are both forward with who we are and lay all our cards on the table. :’) I’m more than willing to roleplay with anyone if we come up with a plot. Speaking of, I also apologise to all my replies which I have yet to reply to, I’m busy as shit at the moment because of my deadlines and endless amounts of essays, but I’m hoping to get on top of it by this weekend! :’)

/ firstly I just want to say that I don’t mean any offence by what I’m saying here but like if we want this place to work ( without ‘law and order’ provided by an admin ) we need to all be totally honest with each other about what we feel is the appropriate way to deal with this situation.
That being said, I think that coming to a unanimous decision would be helpful. The 2 month time frame is a decent idea. It’s unfair to hog faceclaims that may be used otherwise. Obviously this doesn’t mean that your character will be taken from you or disregarded but I think it’s fair due to this being a place to explore creativity and whatnot. It’s a fair shout to say that sometimes people are active on pages but not asks, but if that’s the case then it should ultimately bother them that another character is using that faceclaim as they won’t have to interact with them unless necessary. I understand the want to not share your faceclaim, as I’m like that with Skylar/Leighton ( despite sharing Vanessa due to not being on Chloe as much ), but at the same time if you aren’t actively using your character on ask it’s unfair for you to keep the faceclaim for yourself if it’s reached over 2 months as other people might have a character in mind with that faceclaim in mind ( we have to understand that there’s a lot of underrated faceclaims that cant really be used by people who want to be on ask due to lack of gifs or pictures ). This is the only logical solution, sure there’s loopholes such as people appearing just before the 2 month mark to put their claim back on the faceclaim, but this is the only fair way to get over this. If you have solid reasoning then by all means explain away, it’s understandable, we all have pressing matters but there’s no reason to be selfish if you know that you have a popular faceclaim that others might want to use but you simply don’t want to share. I think it would be fair for people to share at least one of their faceclaims ( like I have, and a few others ) since that will solve some problems but it’s not fair to make a character claiming a faceclaim, post a few things on ask, not bother with pages, and then vanish but then get frustrated because someone what’s the faceclaim or you suddenly reappear when somebody’s interested. If this solution isn’t solved logically, then I’m afraid that it will end up in a situation where anyone and everyone just picks up any fc they want regardless of others opinions or feelings. We don’t want to suffocate people with rules here but there needs to be some level of understanding that others might want to use a popular faceclaim. Stamping claims for the sole purpose of just not wanting to share ( and then vanishing ) is not okay and childish. This place was made free!verse with the opportunity for anyone to join, but that shouldn’t be abused nor be an excuse for the same admin to make loads of characters pretending to be different admins or such. I hope this is okay and I don’t offend anyone. :’)

/ so basically here’s the deal. With all this fc bullshit going on, I need some help because I need an fc. Originally it was going to be Carlson but idkkk if she fits the character ( or even if I like the idea I have ) but anywaaay I’m not fussy with fc’s but I’d rather them not be too underrated ( I like having loads of gifs to use and pics bc I loooove making aesthetics ) and like not too similar to Leighton and Vanessa ( was thinking someone like Nicola Peltz or Chloe Grace Moretz? )
The character itself is based around the background plot of Practical Magic as it was one of my favourite films growing up. The character is apart of a family who was alive during Salem. One of her ancestors slept with a married man and fell pregnant with his child, because of this they planned to hang her for her sins and believed she was a witch. When they went to hang her, she broke free and was then exiled. She waited for her lover to save her but he never came. Due to her broken heart, she vowed that no other woman in their family would ever have to go through that heartbreak. So, whenever a woman from this family falls in love with someone and they fall in love back, at a random time the woman will hear the clicking of a death beetle which will be the sign that their significant other is going to die. This is what happened to my characters father, he died because of the curse, and then her mother committed suicide because of her broken heart. So, she had to go love with her aunts who are both witches and single due to the curse.
From here, I was thinking about doing a loop hole in the curse which is when my character was young, she did a spell that was about a person she believed didn’t exist, and they would end up being the person that will break the curse once they fall in love, but I’m not sure about this part yet.
Highkey still don’t know if I want to do this plot, or a different species who perhaps observes the supernatural and studies them or something. Either way, any help would be incredible, thank you so much. :’)
