I was running my normal run and I got to the heathcote bridge and some lady was crying on the side of the road with a rope and I was thinking she was going to hang herself or something so I went upto her and asked 'do I need to call someone for her' trying not to act to abrupt or make her leave or confront the situation and turns out she was after her brother who was going to hang himself and she caught him and got the rope but she got scared because he got a knife out on her. and anyway I called all of her family members and none of them picked up and in the end I went running after him to try and find him. She told me not to get the cops involved but someone's life was in danger. I asked her to go home and i said 'everything will be fine because I'll find him' I ended up finding him on the train tracks up at ferrymead and I rung the cops but didn't go up to him because he had a knife and said this man is going to kill himself but he's got a weapon etc etc. I was waiting and he saw me and I decided to walk up to him even though I knew he had a knife, I said hello to him and we talked a little not letting him know I knew anything. The cops came and he got angry and he went home and everything was okay but he has slit his wrists and they needed to be stitched but they weren't lethal so everything was okay, and I saved someone's life today
