The things I have concern over is the book at our corner stone and Joseph Smith himself!
I just kind of answered this is the last question but what I can say is this - once you know the Book of Mormon is true, you know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that this church is true, and that all its principles and teachings are as well. You need to read the book of mormon and find out for yourself if it is true. That is the ONLY way.
(I am just answering this on here okay? not posting to twitter) I can understand why that might be confusing. But this is my answer. Have your read the Book of Mormon with a sincere desire and open heart to know if it is true? Have you prayed and asked God if it is true? Have you done your very best to know? If you know the Book of Mormon is true, nothing else matters. What matters is the witness you will receive when you diligently seek to know. And if you read it and for some reason don't have a testimony, maybe it isn't your time. It has taken my grandpa forty years to go back to church after being forced as a teenager by his mom to go to church. He just hasn't had a witness. He still hasn't. He went once about six months ago, and I just don't believe he is ready. God knows his heart and understands what he is going through. My grandpa isn't ready. But whether in this life or in the next, I KNOW that he will KNOW, with all his heart, that it is true. I testify to you that it is true - regardless of anything else out there. I promise you that you will get an answer. I promise you that God loves you and knows that you are strong enough to get over this trial of your faith.
Are you?! Well I sure wish I knew who you were! but that's okay! :)
My entire gym class do and I'm a convert...
That is entirely awkward, and confusing I am sure!My best awkward explanation - so here goes. Since Mormon girls aren't typically sexually active, they feel the need to compensate some other way and be "sexy" or have confidence. I guess... that makes sense to me? but I don't feel that way. I guess it makes them feel cool or something.
I'm just gutted that I'm losing my faith :( I have no idea where I stand :(
Well I guess the first thing to do is this: what do you believe? what is important to you? and what makes you happy? In the end we can only do what really makes us happy to the best of our knowledge. For me, having the gospel, I know that is the happiest I can be. but we all have to assess where we are. all the time! daily! If we aren't, we need to! Then figure out what is holding you back. Why you are losing your faith? Is what you have concerns over really more significant than what you believe or know is true?
Have you heard about the Spaulding court case?
Hmm... I might have? I took a law class, but I don't recall that case specifically!
Why do most LDS girls wear thongs. :P
I honestly don't know any that do. Awkward question. I suppose if they did it is a personal choice? haha
It's interesting you decided to share that answer on your twitter...
Oops. Did you not want me to? I can delete it?but I actually thought a lot of people might wonder the same thing! It makes sense, I know a lot of people want physical evidence for things. I totally get that!!
Know any British people? Or followers?
I know One Direction! hahah no, just kidding.I have a follower who is British Mormon - though I haven't gotten to talk to them very much! That would be pretty awesome to talk to them more though!Or any British.
Why is their no archeological evidence of the cities or the thousands of battles and deaths in the Book of Mormon? The native Americans are DNA linked to Mongolia. I'm a member to but I have lots of questions and I'm tired of being told I don't need to know.
Wow, that is complex question. Well I can't say I am an expert or anything but luckily my sister served her mission in Guatemala. Sure maybe there isn't like such and such artifact that dates back to this time and this is where it is from or anything. but my sister as she served her mission had people telling her stories that they had hear from their parents and from their parents and so on - and they talked about a man, who healed people and blessed them. And as you hear there stories which they tell, you know the man they talk about is the Savior Jesus Christ. Maybe historians can't exactly prove anything - (who knows maybe they can??) but I know that not only in Guatemala but in many other areas down in South America, there are very similar stories. And if Christ came to those people? That is evidence of 3 Nephi for sure. And I know in the long run that it is frustrating to not have evidence - but... I truly believe that when we manifest our complete and total faith in Christ and our Heavenly Father that he answers us and will testify to us that it is true, even if he can't give us all the evidence for it. That's the best answer I can give I think.
My favorite color is blue - a specific type of blue. And black and white - together though
Have you ever been out of Utah?
I have!! I have been to 18 states! but I have never been out of the country!
Do you think Jesus was perfect?
Think? I know he was. There is no other way that the atonement could have been carried out. It took someone sinless - who never did any wrong - to die for those who were uncleanly. I know with all my heart that the Savior, Jesus Christ, was and is perfect. In every way. I can't say how it was possible because that concept of perfection is extremely complex, but I know that he was.
