What is the bravest thing you've ever done? Physically or mentally.
🌷 Last October, I felt that I really have to share about one of my secrets with friends and family on my social media, though they may find it weird or think of me as crazy. I didn't care anymore if people will judge me for it.
I'm glad I shared it, because from my recent travels, I found out that the media has been really biased. I don't see any local news about the truth that has been happening in Palestine. And when I met my long time bestfriend, she told me that she had no idea about the atrocities and history of the situation in Palestine till I've been sharing some posts about it.
Anyhow what I shared was, I have this habit of writing my dreams on my phone calendar. Only if it's something very vivid and I can recall of. And I'm glad I shared this dream I had about a blood-curdling scream of a little girl, which woke me up from my sleep at around past 3:00 AM on 6 Oct. She was trapped in an empty dark factory / warehouse. Somehow I just know that it has something to do with being sold. She was terrified and helpless, shouting "WAAAAAH!" to get my attention.
It was the day before the recent situation between Palestine and Israel escalated (7 Oct). Since then 21,731 Palestinians including 8,697 children and 4,410 women as well as those missing and trapped. And 46,000 have been wounded since the war began.
What I thought of my dream is that.... the little girl wanted to get my attention because she was trapped and helpless in the situation. Majority of the Palestinian people who should be speaking up for their rights were forever silenced now. Hence I've decided to become one of the people who can be their voice.
I'm not always active in all of my social medias but I have changed most of my profile pictures related to Palestine and share about them whenever I have the opportunity. I may not be able to do anything more significant to stop the injustice, but someone who is able to may see what I share on my posts.
