I am not sure what temp is what at the top of Scotland, it was a cold day and I spent more time in the water than out 😁🥰
In the mountains of Scotland, even in winter it is quite warm, I recommend as an experiment to go to Alaska in winter, there in January I really enjoyed swimming under the ice in the lakes.

Good question Juliy, I don’t really know tbh. Our water is around 55F down here and I can spend hours in it but I’ve never tried timing swims in water down to 41F 🤷🏻♂️ 💋
For me, the most comfortable water temperature is no more than 35 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature, I can swim a few miles.
But I had the experience of swimming and at a temperature of 30 degrees Fahrenheit, I did not feel the difference.
