this is a very personal question and you don't have to answer at all, but have u always been ace? I dated guys before, but after uni I think something changed. I shut down when faced with a chance to be w someone. idk ppl say i just havent found 'the one' but... idk im just so confused :')
i think i'm still figuring it out myself! i dated many people and enjoyed none of it, whether the romance and dates or the intimacy. i thought i liked them, and every time i would think, hey maybe the previous guy wasn't right for me. maybe this one will be the one. maybe i'm not into guys. maybe dating a girl would help. but nope :( dating became stressful for me and after i stopped, i was much happier to focus on myself and my career. i only started admitting to myself that i might be ace very recently! it's scary to me too, and i think years later, i might just be "ready" for a relationship. maybe not. it doesn't matter right now.
but this is my personal experience, and no one else's experience should validate or invalidate yours. if you don't want a relationship, then don't have one. when "the one" comes and it feels right, go for it. your identify is fluid. you are you, but you are not alone! there are people in the world who are like you! if you want to talk or vent, my dms are open, or curiouscat may be a more private option :)
