I hope when bangtan does subunits its actually just like how they do with outros and cypher, meaning its under a BTS album. Like some members could also have solo songs, duets etc inside one full(?) album? I mean i just want them to still be under the 방탄소년단 name. Then after a while they can (1/2)
(2/2) release their own unit albums with physical copies too lol, cos this way its more beneficial to the group? And i feel like they still need to get on some level before releasing real separate solos/subunit albums? Well in my opinion haha
yeah that totally makes sense! part of me still feels like they're not a 100% stable group yet, like popularity-wise? sunggyu from ifnt did a solo debut in 2012, but it was a totally diff story from doing group activities, so he felt like his solo debut album was a failure since iirc he didn't win #1 on a music show with it (I thought the album was amazing tho I rly love his music)
I don't want them to feel the same way, esp bc they're very attached to the music they make, but I guess we'll just have to see! I think whatever they put out will be really good, but I don't know if they would be popular with the public like their title tracks as ot7? this tends to happen to most group subunits/solos, unless they're coming from an A-tier group (snsd, bigbang, etc.)
