ah I live in Asia so the nearest thing we have to kcon is like some festivals they have once every blue moon with like one or two kpop groups and other Asian boy band/girl groups!! how does kcon differ??

kcon is basically the biggest kpop event in the usa, as it happens every year during the summer/fall, and they've really expanded these past few years, so there's a pretty big setlist of kpop artists?
my problem with kcon is the ppl that go bc 80% are koreaboos or kpoppers (the kind of ppl that worship eyk basically lmao) so I just get annoyed by some ppl that go?
in my reply tho, I was referring to a lot of bangtan fans not really knowing anything about them...? I had a convention booth there, and it was for bangtan and we gave away their albums for free, so we asked ppl to answer questions about bangtan to win them, and imo, the questions were easy (name at least 2 former members, their debut date, what song has satoori in it in their skool luv affair album)
nobody knew the answers, so I had to spoon feed the answers to ppl
lmao

angie when you took korean class in school, was it fun? did you use bts as an inspiration when asked during class?

yeah, it was p fun since I never took a formal class and it was nice to be taught all the basics by a teacher and not by myself LOL
I definitely did once when my teacher wanted us to send an example for a grammar thing on kkt and I used suga as the subject (BUT IT WAS HIGHKEY EMBARRASSING BC I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO DID IT)
