it doesn't make sense for a fansite of 2 or so years to close over their fave being sick, which is the common belief in the fandom rn
my conclusion is that she closed bc bighit thought it'd be a good idea to notify fans like 20 mins before the fansign, and if they had posted a notice a day earlier (which is like PRETTY POSSIBLE since it seems like he had a semi-serious flu, so he prob had symptoms since the day before), she could've avoided wasting LITERALLY LIKE $2,000 LOL
a lot of intl. fans are completely clueless about how fansigns work bc you need to buy as many albums bc it's a lottery, so obvs if you buy more, you have a higher chance of getting in, and a lot of fans bought a LOT of albums for the synnara fansign bc ppl thought it would be the boys' only fansign for young forever + it was online and iirc, there was like 10 days to buy albums which is A LOT of time for a fansign
tl;dr - prob a combination of bighit fucking fans over time and time again, as well as her money basically going to waste
