Hello angie,i have this stupid problem of being jealous of my friends because they're smarter than me.they have good grades and once one of them said she would rather fail and repeat than have a c in her grades when she knows i have a c+.i feel like stabbing myself i hate myself so much
hi anon! I understand how you feel to some extent since I was a semi-ap kid during high school and was especially in the ap kid crowd during my first 2 years of hs, but please don't hurt yourself ;; other people have different standards for themselves, and honestly, you have to understand that for them to have a C could possibly be a failing grade in their family/environment/culture
trust me, I used to have the mindset that having a C might as well be having a failing grade when I was in middle school lol (I used to be very ambitious about my academics for the purpose of having bragging rights cuz I'm kinda of an asshole)
people are born with different academic capabilities, so please don't hate yourself over it
just try your best to improve your grades as best as you can! not that I recommend it, but I got like a pretty good amount of Cs during high school (I even flunked like 2 classes bc I couldn't handle 1 of them [APUSH] and I just didn't even try for the other class [was an online class to make up my D from sophomore year honors english haha...])
