How would you cope with a partner that doesn't necessarily like affection?

So funny you say that bc I use to be the partner that didn’t like affection. It was more of a out in public thing for me tho. I’m just conservative, classy, and have manners out in public. Also I wasn’t that affectionate with someone I wasn’t that into. However, until I found the right one like I’m with now, I’m very affectionate with him in public and not in public. It could be that your partner isn’t that into you, or they just like to be mannerable out in public.

It probably wouldn’t work. I’m too affectionate of a person and have bad rejection dysphoria

I have no clue, that would break my heart. I mean I'm assuming they still cared for me but without affection. Is that feeling a being cared for even beyond platonic, then?

I’m not sure honestly. I guess it depends on why then don’t like it and work on getting to a place of doing affectionate things that they do like
