Do you believe ignorance is bliss? Why or why not?
Ignorance is not bliss. In fact, it is far from it. We walk through this world with our eyes and ears wide open, our senses on high alert but our minds, sometimes so far from that.
And there’s a lot of damage that can do.
Take a look around yourself. People have been killed because their race or religion has been stereotyped and misunderstood. People are denied basic human rights because of skin colour. People have been driven to suicide by hate crimes, if they weren’t already killed first. Something as simple as a comment can turn someone’s life upside down, leave alone the rest.
