Do you believe in love at first sight?
Yes!
Actually, my definition of love has changed a lot overtime, in the sense that I now believe you can love anyone you set your mind on loving.
I think a little bit about India's (and many places in the world's) culture for arranged marriages, and I actually think they're sensible in a way. I distinguish between "love" and "passion" and in fact I think that passion can oftentimes obscure love.
When you find yourself in the position of an arranged marriage, love becomes more a matter of quiet discovery -- of bonding -- you learn to love someone that you didn't before (and didn't necessarily think you could). And I actually think it is more powerful than many people give it credit for.
So love at first sight.
Yes, I believe in it. I also think we should try more to love each other at first sight. Love is partially a matter of effort -- partly a matter of intentionally making yourself vulnerable to another.
I don't believe love is as random or spontaneous as most believe.
