Well, I'm usually the guy who only watches fluffy and happy anime, but I can recommend Death Parade (watch the OVA first, Death Billiards), Katanagatari, Steins Gate and Sword of the Stranger. As I said, I don't watch a lot of dark anime and those are the only ones I can think of, but all of them are really good!
Actually, Love Lab is the darkest anime I've ever watched

Was that sarcasm?

Of course! I was afraid some people would think I was being serious. So, just to make it clear, that was sarcasm, I don't think I'm better than everyone :)

How did you get into anime? What's your favorite thing about it?

1) I started watching anime last year because everybody in my class was talking about it and I had no idea what they were talking about, so, I decided to watch what they were watching. It's funny because at first I hated it and I couldn't understand why everybody there liked it so much. And now, well, I have watched way more anime than everybody in my class and they are always asking me for recommendations and stuff.
2) What I love about anime is that it can achieve things that no other medium can. There are all kind of characters, stories and worlds that you don't see anywhere else. Anime doesn't have any physical limitations, no camera, no real actors, you can basically do anything you want and because of that you see all kinds of amazing shows out there

Have you read any Jules Verne? What do you think of his works?

1) Yes, I've read Journey to the Center of the Earth and I do want to read his other books in the future. I've also watched some of the movies based on his books, but I don't know if they are a good adaptation.
2) They are fantastic, He wrote about submarines, airplanes and spaceships so many years before they were invented. He was truly ahead of his time, his works have influenced writers, scientists, inventors, astronauts and I think this is really fascinating

What is your favorite live-action movie? Favorite animated movie?

1) The Empire Strikes Back, I'm a big Star Wars fan, I really love the original trilogy and The Empire is easily my favorite. I also would like to mention Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Terminator and Lord of the Rings, cause I love all of them.
2) This question is a little bit harder and I can't really pick just one answer. So I'm gonna answer it in two parts.
First, my favorite japanese movies. Mamoru Hosoda is one of my favorite directors and I really like his movies (Wolf Children, Summer Wars, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time), they are a lot of fun but I can't choose just one to answer this question. Also, as I have mentioned a few times, I'm pretty new to anime (started watching last year) and there are a lot of awesome movies I haven't watched, so if you ask me this question in a few months, the answer will probably be different
And second, I wanna talk about Pixar. I've watched all Pixar movies many times since I was little, and I love almost all of them *looks at Cars 2* but my favorites are Wall-E, Up and Toy Story, and again I can't choose just one. I'm also super excited to watch Inside Out and I have a feeling that it will be one of my favorite Pixar movies
