the truth ofc, who prefers to be lied to? even if the truth hurts sometimes, but it'll hurt more when you find out that you've been lied to. trust me, been there done that. especially to couples, don't keep secrets just tell everything that your partner has to know about you and just be open. and between friendship, it's crucial to just tell the truth, altho it hurts but eventually true friendships will get back together, and lies will just separate them
