Hello, I am a user from MAL, and I just wanted to ask you about the manga Bokura no Koi wa Shi ni Itaru Yamai no You de. I was utterly confused during the last chapter, where Beniko meets one of the twins (I presume Umi) at the cemetery. Could you please explain to me what was going on ?!?!? Thanks!

I had to look the series back up because I honestly didn't even remember what I had read.
It is Umi that she meets at the cemetery. The clue is the note that he left. He said he wanted to become Sora, and so that's what he did. When he meets her at the cemetery, he has completely adopted his twin's persona and taken his name as well. So he talks about Umi as though Umi is the one who died instead because it's the only way he can cope with losing his brother. I think it's also because it's the only way he can continue living, because more than mourning the loss of his brother, I think he hated himself for everything that led up to Sora's death.
Hope that clears things up for you.

Okay, I admit. That one is one that might need to be undone. That little girl deserved to be happy, and what was done to her was so cruel. I remember watching that episode when I was much, much younger in the original Fullmetal Alchemist and it was jarring. It does contribute to the plot because it shows how disgusting some people can be, it really sets the tone for the rest of the show. But man... I just really can't deal with kids dying. It's one thing to see adults die, but children...

If we were able to get cyberized in the future a la Ghost in the Shell. Would you do it? If not, why?

It's been a long time since I watched Ghost in the Shell, but I would more than likely say yes. I have a physical disability that prevents me from doing a lot of things and means I am in pain most of the time. So I would jump at the opportunity to be cyberized. Preferably fully. I would be fine with leaving my human body behind entirely. I have no attachments to it, and I don't think people are defined by their bodies.

You have the option to bring back one of your favorite anime characters that has died. Who do you pick and why? Or would you not chose anyone?

Any good storyline where a character dies, has that character die for some reason. It contributes, in some way, to another character's development or to the plot. For that reason, I feel like I have to say no. As much as I may like a character, like Kaworu from Evangelion, I feel like it would render the point of their character in the series meaningless.
Now there is one thing I will say because there have been some death flags (indications that a character may end up being killed off) for Guren from Owari no Seraph. I don't think the anime or manga will go that route since it's a shounen, but if it does I would resurrect him in a heartbeat. That precious baby needs some happiness in his damn life, he can't die before he gets to be happy! ;A;

Hello, Ol' Chap! I must say that I am quite a fan of your work. As for my question, if Sakurai Takahiro were to, oh I don't know, feed you only vegetables for a whole month would you go along with it?

SneakyShiko’s Profile PhotoShiko
That means a month of getting to be with Sakurai Takahiro, so YES!! Although I really don't like vegetables, there's worse things in the world I could be trying to eat, I guess. I have actually started to like them a little bit more since I came to Japan. Salad is still gross though.

Who's your favorite actor?

Taking this as voice actor considering the medium in which I immerse myself daily. In which case, it's a difficult decision but right now my favorite voice actor is Sakurai Takahiro. If I am debating playing a game or watching an anime, him being in it can often be enough to convince me to give it a try. I just really love his voice - no matter the type of role he is in, Monogatari series or Osomatsu-san, it's just really soothing.
