I am in a world of pain right now.. I had been talking with a sister for a couple months and we seemed to be good for each other. I went to her families home to meet them and discuss Nikkah. After meeting them and discussing things she texted me saying we can't be together because of my student debt

Mine was good Alhamdulilah :) one of the brothers at the masjid I attend invited to his home each day for iftar dinner and it made things better. EID was good to. How have things been for you? It's been a hot summer lol.

In California they created a all Female masjid and a sister leads the prayer and gives the khutba because the surrounding masjids weren't attentive to their needs. Do you think this is a good idea?

I am doing well :) it has been a long time and much has happened. I took my Shahadah last July and have been living as a Muslim since then. The community has been very nice to me and I'm just trying my best each day to do what is right. How have you been? Ready for winter to be over?

I pray that you never have to go through something like this, but when there is someone that you hold in high regard and think the world of and one day they show you that you mean nothing to them, that is one of the worst things to go through. It drove me close to suicide and it took a lot to moveon
That sounds like a terrible thing and I do hope I don't ever go through something like that. All you have to remember is that your life can be so different in a year or even 6 months. I know it's cliche but time will heal and you have((we all have to)) hope for a better future.

MashaAllah Sister! I'm so happy to see your posts here again! You may not remember me but I'm Jon and we talked on here a long time ago. I took my Shahada on July 15, 2 days before EID Murburak and it's been a real blessing. The people I've met have helped me to become a better person :)
