what labs are available in UPD Institute of Chemistry
There are different labs for different fields of chemistry. Each of the PhDs in Chem has their own laboratory for their specialized field. I myself am part of the Food Chemistry and Molecular Gastronomy Research Group. Other labs include those for Natural Products, Organic Chem, Biochem, Inorganic Chem, Computational Chem, Analytical Chem, Environmental Chem, and others that I might have forgotten. IC also has the Analytical Service Laboratory, wherein the different labs, students of Chem subjects, and the general public can avail of different laboratory services. :)

equity or equality? context: "free" education
i believe that education should be free for all, whether or not one has the capacity to pay. however, i understand that others will have to ask where the money will come from since there are no free lunches, but given the current mechanism of STS, it's been rather clear (for me at least) that it's a way for UP to gradually raise it's tuition. not to mention, i find the current way of assessing individuals pretty inadequate. it's horrible that "you're rich until proved poor". hopefully, it comes to a point that education funding is properly allocated in such a way that education does become free.

di siya ata pa default, but apparently kaya niya. relatively new pa lang yung discovery so di naman matic na agad 6 bonds ang carbon. i have yet to read up more about the paper on it hahaha more research will still come out and it's amazing to note this new discovery. :)
