Do you plan to sign with a record label other than your own? What are the problems / advantages of working with one?
No idea. I am not too fond of tying things to someone else's schedule, especially when I am not making any money from music. However, having someone professional to help sort things out is a huge plus, like handling the PR, manufacturing etc.
All in all, I am not against working with labels. If you have a nice representative, it is actually rewarding, but working with a label needs you to fulfill certain stuff for them as well as it is a business for the label and people need to feed their families as well. That part, "business" part is what makes my skin tingle.
So, I say, maybe. Depends on the label and more importantly, on the representative of that label.
