No not really, I try to stay away from them to be honest. Yeah they can damage the hair if you use too much too often. Try leaving conditioner on your hair for half an hour or so then rinse it off, it'll do your hair the world of good! Also if you have any hair oil (I recommend Macadamia healing oil treatment), mix it in with your conditioner when you leave it in, it'll help make your hair soft and shiny x
