Nooo, by tradition engagement rings have diamonds and wedding rings are plain matching bands, and then there are also eternity rings that have diamonds on that the wife gets after being married for so long. My mum has a wedding ring and an eternity ring but my dad is ringless, it's different with each couple I guess
