No, it is not okay to go without sleep for a week to avoid nightmares. Sleep is important for physical and mental well-being, and consistently not getting enough can lead to serious health problems. Lack of sleep can affect your mood, memory, ability to concentrate
Please take some rest
Do yoga, stretching exercises,relax ur body muscles..if u are suffer from mental illness, depression/anxiety/phobia/panic attack..treat that first by medicine and proper counseling/cbt..sort out cause of nightmare..thats it
