Hey Ten ! Would you like to Share your story about you moving to Finland. How that descission was made and how you earn Money and Whats with the Language and all. I would really like To Hear that <3
Ooh, this is such a late response and I am so sorry for that, I just hardly check Ask.fm nowadays :( But I will still answer that in case you might see it!
My case is a bit special because I was lucky Verti is Finnish, so that helped a lot in getting a residence permission and later applying to Finnish language courses. HOWEVER, it's not the only way, and you can move to Finland through studying, for example.
The only issue with that is, as you mentioned, money. I'd say it should be easy enough to get into a Finnish university in terms of knowledge, but before applying for a student visa you need to show that you have enough money on your bank account to survive in Finland. Personally I just tried to save up everything I could, had to work multiple jobs without holidays to have enough (and still do because the only job I want to do is translating stuff, but can't find a job in Finland yet because my Finnish is not good enough).
I can give you a piece of advice though: don't count on Finnish language courses in Finland. If you want to move to Finland, start studying Finnish yourself. "Suomen Mestari" is a very good book for that, it is very well-structured and easy to understand. Finnish language courses are a big waste of time and most of them cover only basics, which you can study yourself without losing time and money.
So, to sum up: work, save up money, learn Finnish, choose a degree and university that interests you in Finland, and apply to that. After graduation you can look for a job here and stay here on a working visa, and later apply for citizenship. You can also look up Kirill Sultanshin on YouTube, he basically did the same and lives in Tampere now, and his Finnish is SUPER good, I'm jealous, haha.
You can also ask me any other questions here or on Twitter!
