How would you let someone know that you like them? I'm afraid that if I tell them they won't like me back and we wouldn't be good friends anymore..
that's always scary but the worst thing they can say is no and at least you know how they feel so you can move on or not. and you'll only stop being friends if you act different or awkward so whatever they say keep acting like friends.
