i think that there is light in the fridge but not in freezer because The freezer is usually much more full that the fridge. One goes to the fridge at night much more often than the freezer. Fresh food looks tastier with direct light, but a pizza box is a pizza box. Ice gets in the way. Drawers and opaque shelves mean you would need a light per drawer, or perhaps on the door. The light on the fridge can be an indicator that it is working, something you don't need in a freezer as it's a lot more obvious.
