Can you explain the 'Jontron controversy' mentioned your latest tumblr update? I'm a little out of the loop, was there some event that happened recently?

Jontron called Playstation Now retarded on twitter, a fan asked him not to use that word, then he called the fan retarded. It became a thing as things do, helped along by Jontron continuing to put his foot in his mouth. Highlights include him saying people shouldn't get offended by anything on the internet a few hours before telling someone else how offended he was at their response, telling people to complain about Israel bombing children or studio Ghibli closing, and and saying apologies are a means of selling out. Everyone reacted the way you'd expect them to. He's since changed his mind on Playstation Now.

I want to get into cryptocurrency, but am scared of the weird ancap/Libertarian/black market strain dominating BitCoin. DogeCoin seems a cool community, but that's just my initial impression.

If you want to spend real money on fake money you can't use I'd stick with the more laid back crew.

What was up with that whole "atheists against retusupurare" thing from a few years back? It seemed like a troll thing to me, but, who knows, since there was that guy who commented on all of Slo/Dia's retsus for a year saying they were bad people for Proteus making a joke about atheists.

For D&D settings, what is the ideal "not too little, not too many" amount of elven sub-races?

Whatever number you have ideas for and your characters will care about. I think 13A has two too many for us by that guideline even though I like all three racial power and wouldn't want to eliminate them. I wind up running all elves as just 'elves'.

Do you prefer point-buy or rolling for stats in general?

If the system math works out so your randomly rolled character is viable then go for it. That's not really how they make em these days though, generally speaking.

I love the Men Who Drink At Coffee as well, I just think it's interesting that you and them take things away from each other in two completely different directions.

It's funny how you said you were, for the lack of a better term, inspired by the Men Drinking Coffee LPs to up your own game seeing as they hold an almost completely opposite view on how to approach an LP compared to you and Chip.

What works for us works for us. I think following the 'rules' or accepted wisdom or whatever you want to call it will guarantee a baseline of 'good enough' but I'd never say it's the only way, or the best way for everyone. I'm very happy for all the people that bring their own color to the scene, it's much more fun that way. Judge is a big fan of ours too, and if you don't think Ride to Hell or MindJack were given space to speak for themselves, then...
