Do you listen to every ANNcast?

Most of them, but not all. Lately I ignore the ones covering topics I don't care about.

Out of your current anime collection what would be your top ten favorite titles in any order really?

Cowboy Bebop, Giant Robo, Zeta Gundam, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Fullmetal Alchemist, Royal Space Force, Spirited Away, Bubblegum Crisis, Grave of the Fireflies, Metropolis. I guess.

Do you like Family Guy, American Dad or King of the Hill?

I used to watch all three, but lost interest after a while. American Dad still has a decent episode now and then, though.

What makes the Cowboy Behop dub better then the Fullmetal Alchemist dub? Both dubs have gotten a vast amount of praise over the years and stand as two of the better dubs made in the last decade that I can stomach.

Well, for one thing, since CB's main cast is so much smaller, it was easier to keep a consistent quality because the main four were so great and had a lot of chemistry. A cast as large as FMA is POSSIBLE to keep consistently strong, but it didn't result in that. There are plenty of good performances in the FMA cast, but also plenty of terrible or middling ones and the chemistry just isn't as good as in the Bebop dub.

How did you get start doing sprite work?

On the original Otaku Revolution, a nerd message board, a guy named Rob who was a fan of Bob & George (which was a Mega Man sprite comic) made his own comic strips based on the members of the board and a lot of in-jokes and such using modified MM sprites. I did a side story strip set in the same world (with his permission and even help), making a lot of my own sprites and backgrounds (and using some of his). It was called OR: Side Story, of which I had my own secondary strip called Penguin Chronicles, which told tales of the Penguin Union Nation and the Penguin Liberation Army. I've been using those sprites and backgrounds to make episodes of Otaku Evolution.

If you enjoyed Mari Ijima's Japanese performance in Macross, why don't you like her performance in the English dub?

Just because she can speak English, doesn't mean she can act in it.

Jesus fucking christ dude. Do you have any hobbies besides anime?

Writing, video games (not as much these days, though), my sprite comic work (though now that's incorporated into my anime hobby, and sort of always was).

How often do you re-watch a favorite anime?

I used to rewatch my entire collection every year, until my collection became too big. Then I would just watch my absolute favorites every year and the rest of the stuff every now and then if I got around to it. Then my collection got bigger. Now I only watch Cowboy Bebop, LoGH, and a few others annually. When I first got CB on DVD, I watched it in its entirety a couple times a MONTH.

Do you have any favorite action films?

The Running Man, Big Trouble in Little China, some of the Bond films, and of course, Bloodsport.

How many times have you been shit faced this year?

I've been drunk a few times this year. Especially when I went to Siesta Key and drank every day. But usually I'm not such a heavy drinker.

What do you miss for the golden years of anime?

When, exactly, was the "golden years of anime"? I suppose most of my favorite anime came from the 80s and 90s, but that's because it's when I got into anime and time has passed since then for me to evaluate ones I've missed or re-evaluate the ones I saw before. We could be in a golden age now but I can't get to every current title and it can be hard for me to get into new things. I'll know better in a few years.

What are your thoughts on voice actor Robert Axelrod?

Outside of Lord Zedd and the cult guy from Cowboy Bebop, I haven't really encountered his work much. He seems okay, I suppose.

Knowing your opinion on the Akira film, what's your opinion on the manga?

From the little I've read, it seems far more fleshed out.

I've been curious do you plan to review other entertainment mediums with your video review series like live action TV or live action film? I would love to see you review the live action films of Crying Freeman or Wicked City that type of genre would still fit your scope I feel.

It's possible, if it's connected to manga and anime. But then, like I said, subtitles are death in a review show.

Were you ever a Power Rangers fan?

For a while, yeah. Until Turbo, when I lost interest. Honestly, I probably wouldn't watch it again, or even the Sentai shows they were derived from.

Do regret where your life has led you? I know I do but fuck it to late now ride it until the tires fall off.

Eh, my life's all right. Mostly.

If you could be immortal, would you choose to be?

Immortal how? What if it's the year 94843934944030293848, the Earth is dust, and I'm just floating around in space, suffocating forever and ever because I can't technically die but there's no place to live or air to breath anymore? That would suck, man.
