So I have been away and haven't gotten to watch any AS lately, but I know you were voicing the singles promos. So, I gotta ask, is there a promo where I can hear you broadcast to the nation the amazing name of "Diarrhea Planet"? Because if there is, I'll be glued to my TV for the next week.

It's already been airing.

Gonna see Guardians? It's easily the best Marvel Studios movie. More like a good Star Wars movie than a superhero one.

I'll probably see it eventually, but I'm not in any rush. There are enough Marvel fanboys filling their coffers, they don't need my money.

Do you think there any benefits to linear or curated programming over the buffet-styled method that most online streaming services utilize?

Absolutely. You're more likely to discover new stuff with the linear method. At the same time, a la carte is clearly advantageous in it's own right.

What do you think is the future of television? Online video on demand? Online livestreaming? Crowdsourcing? A mix of the three?

It's probably something along the lines of the Hulu model. Streaming, pick your own shows, but with ads. Everything will be available cheaper and this everything will have to cost less to make.

Have you seen ENEMY with Jake Gyllenhaal? If so did you understand it after your first viewing?

Sldy93
I saw it, one of my favorites of the year so far. I think I understood it, about as well as one can.

Does anyone at all ever said that they miss Moltar? Personally I sometimes wish that one day there might be a small acknowledgement to Moltar for his service.

Lots of people say that! But if you love Moltar there's, like, 8 seasons of SGC2C and the OG Space Ghost, so....

Have you heard of the show "Blue Blazes"? It's a TV show about a mangaka (who did Skull Man) in his years at Osaka Arts University, where he interacts with future big names when they were students (like Hideaki Anno).

No, I'll definitely check it out!

Where do you watch all the movies you do? Netflix? Mubi? Television? Do you just purchase them? What was the last one you truly found original?

All of the above. I rent a lot from iTunes and buy a lot. Last truly original movie I saw was UNDER THE SKIN, which was brilliant.

Do you ever feel like when you walk into a room everyone in it is always thinking, "oh, it's that schmuck." Because that's how I always feel when I walk into a room...

I think most people experience some form of social anxiety. I certainly feel that way sometimes!

do you think you'll ever get time to make that blog about trailers?

Man I think about it all the time, so at some point I think I will have to.

Have you seen Dawn of the Planet of the Apes? If so, what did you think of it?

Loved it. I'm a big fan of the whole APES series, minus the Burton mess of course.

How far in advance do you generally get to see new AS shows or new seasons of existing shows?

Usually 3-6 months.

Why did you name the ship "Absolution"?

Sean Akins named the ship. He just liked the grand sound of the word.

I enjoy your mini movie reviews on twitter. Have you ever thought about being a movie critique?

Ha no, I'm not a good enough writer, but thanks!

Jason, do you know the name of the song used in the Black Jesus promo?

CJ Joseph Addison Cassel
There were two songs used in the promo. The first was "The Old Landmark," by James Brown, from THE BLUES BROTHERS soundtrack. The second was Ice Cube's "Check Yo' Self (The Message Remix)," which can be found on his greatest hits.

What are some good zombie flicks that are not directed my George a. Remero?

There are many. Very recently there's AFFLICTED, which is a terrific found footage zombie flick. There's the Spanish zombie movies [REC] and [REC]2, both great. THE DEAD from South Africa is good. Obviously SHAUN OF THE DEAD is great and funny, as is CEMETARY MAN and RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. ZOMBIELAND and WARM BODIES are both fun zombie flicks. WORLD WAR Z is a solid huge budget zombie film. DEADGIRL is a disturbing but very good zombie indie. For truly gross zombie action, I'd go with Fulci's ZOMBI 2, RE-ANIMATOR, or DEAD ALIVE. But the best zombie movies ever made, besides Romero, are 28 DAYS LATER and 28 WEEKS LATER, hands down. Enjoy!
