I'm old school man. I like the Hart Foundation, Hacksaw Jim Dugan, Junkyard Dog, Iron Shiek, Andre The Giant, Macho Man, and of course Ric Flair, the Nature Boy.
Your so cool man.
Psh nah man YOURE cool!
Do you find yourself saying "yep" king of the hill style around the office?
you sir are a big inspiration to me, stay cool DeMarco :)
Haha thanks, I'll do my best.
have you ever been to a wrestling event if so when and where?
Nah. Always just watched it on TV.
I work the night shift on fridays and I watch Toonami and saturday night and wake up bright and early for church on sunday. I don't find much time to sleep but it still has not stopped me from watching Toonami each and every week.
Thank you for that!
favorite lana del rey song?
Hmmm I really love "Summertime Sadness" and "Born to Die."
boybands are popular again why do you think this is?
No idea man!
When you really think about it the whole concept of toonami sounds like something a drunk guy came up with but strangely it works.
Hahaha, agreed!
what do you think was the most rebellious era in music that you've experienced?
For sure, the rise of hip hop. Also, the 90's "alternative" movement.
do u like linkin park?
Not really, no.
who came up with the idea of having your host exist in an alternate space universe other then just having a VO guy announce the shows and be done with it?
Sean Akins, I think? We came up with it together but he started the whole thing.
been to the uk?
Yes, several times!
do you like u2
Old U2, yes! Recent U2, no!
lights on or lights off?
Both!
Is it true that adult swim is getting an earlier start time?
Yes.
Believe it or not, I recently found a copy of Gundam Wing on vhs still in the shrink wrap with the 'As seen on Toonami' sticker on it in a clearance bin. for only $1 :)
Nice!
I'm genuinely curious to hear what major qualms you have with RHCP's music. Also, thanks for all your hard work at Adult Swim/Toonami. You've introduced me to anime and a lot of great music.
My qualms is that the RHCP music is 90% appropriated from much better funk bands of yore, mixed with crappy arena rock. It's not for me at all. And thanks!
Should the Toonami faithfuls feel ashamed for watching a 6 and a half hour of kiddy shows?
No, because Toonami isn't 6 and a half hours of "kiddy" shows, at least, unless you're a moron who can't tell the difference between mature storytelling and shows for kids. That wouldn't be YOU, now would it? Nah.
