What do you think of r/kappa

it's a miserable cesspool of the worst the fighting game community has to offer. the one out of every 10 posts that isn't somehow racist or misogynist can occasionally be entertaining, if you have low standards

I've been really depressed lately and I'm really not sure if i can handle a few more years without being able to express myself. Any advice?

It's a rough situation to be in. If there's any way you can do it in private, even if it's just online, do it. Cope however you gotta.

i want to smother you with macaroni and cheese and then take a picture of it and put it on instagram

can I eat it after

Thank you ;; It's been more than a year and I've just been more and more discouraged with every passing month. It really helps to hear that from you ;w;!

I'm glad I can help. ❤️

I started transitioning but all that happened is I gained a lot of weight and I'm tired all the time :( Should I bother going on?

Yes, absolutely. I looked no different to anyone for months and months after starting hormones, and your appetite is gonna go way up. That doesn't mean you should stop. Just like puberty takes years, so does HRT. Stick with it (as long as your doctor gives you a health clearance!!)

What if I don't end up being pretty?

Please, please remember that every cis girl in the world has looked in a mirror and worried that she isn't pretty. It's going to be okay.

whats the weirdest question you got on here

I get more people saying they have crushes on me than I expect, but that's about it

How does counseling work for this?

You can find therapists in your area that have experience working with trans patients (if you want me to help you look, DM me!). Then, you can be open about how you feel about gender and how it impacts your life. Privacy laws mean they can't share what's said without your permission, even if you're a minor.

I came out to one my mom as trans about a year and a half ago. We had a discussion, she told me she'd love me no matter what (not really into the idea), and it hasn't been mentioned since. I'm about to graduate high school, so i'll be reliant on them for a while. Can you give any advice? :/

This is prolly gonna suck but — if you don't think your parents would be supportive of beginning transition, don't push it. Once you're on your own in college you'll be able to go to counseling and figure out where to go with help. If they're willing to let you talk to a counselor, though, that would be a great first step.

How do I develop a support system?

Very good question. I'm assuming your asking about queer/trans stuff so: try and get out and do stuff that queer folks in your community are doing. Check for local trans Facebook groups, find out if there's any local orgs. All it takes is meeting one queer person with local connections to build a bigger network!
