It’s up to you to choose whether or not you’d like to acknowledge someone or not and you’re the one who will live with the consequences of whichever one you choose. You saying that you won’t pick up when/if they do reach out just goes to show that you don’t want them that much anyways and they deserve better than someone who refuses to show up for them.
