I'm tired of having to deal with all these asks. I've said the same shit over and over and over and it doesn't seem to be making any difference. People know I'm a feminist, looks like most of the people I know are MRAs or hate feminism. Whatever. I'm not going to waste any more breath preaching to a crowd that doesn't want to hear it.

I feel the same. It actually hurts to be asexual when surrounded by sexuality. I really want to enjoy sex the way other people do, but I just can't and it can really bring me down sometimes. especially when a lot of the world and society revolves around sex and sexiness.

Yeah, but I wouldn't know what to change my name to. I mean it's not that I dislike being called 'George', I've just never particularly liked it either :P
Most people know me as 'Gravy' nowadays anyway and it's a bit odd but I kinda like it. The confused reactions to me telling people it's my nickname are funny.

I'm so proud of you for standing up against me, the horrible feminist oppressor. It must have taken a great deal of strength to speak out against 'those damn feminazis' with their suppressive matriarchy that takes away all 'our men's rights!!!'. For nerds? Well excuse me... Some people grew up with it and is part of there culture aka asians. Also its a good thing to do when ur bored. + your list of anime is prob less thn 0.001% of whats actually on the market. Not all anime are or children and nerds there are large varietys targeted at different groups.
Also teen titans is not really anime tho drawn in a very similar/same style as anime. There are certain rules it does not follow making it a cross breed
And yes i am awfully offended at your steriotyping.

That guy was making a legit point. He/she wasn't being rude. Many vitamin/mineral deficiencies can cause your libido to be lower than usual and you may be more attracted to people/find the idea of sex more pleasurable etc. That's all they were trying to say.. It may be a symptom just in the same way

no, you know what this is called? it's called invalidation. what you just said is that asexuality is a 'symptom', as if it's just part of some illness or something.
Asexuality is real. It's a sexual orientation. It exists. I'm tired of having people tell me "Oh it's just that your hormones haven't kicked in" or "It could be due to poor nutrition".
We are not sick, we are real. Why do people feel the need to try and put it down to some sort of medical cause? (As long as it's not heterosexuality, of course)

I find it very disturbing that upon hearing that someones sexual orientation is something outside of the 'norm', then the first conclusion is this must be the result of a 'deficiency'.

this was my thought exactly just
it's exactly what i meant by the whole 'curing' a sexuality thing
if it's not straight then it's abnormal and must be something medically wrong
