Not in favour to just castrate. But public hanging is something that can be seen as an example. It might invoke some fear in people having this sort of dirtiest mindsets. Even if it wont reduce the chances to maximum but can minimize this falsity of intentions to some extent.

This break my heart like just imagine that they were waiting for their loved ones who were stuck due to the lockdown for months and when they finally got a chance to come back home to celebrate their eid. PLANE CRASHED AT THE END MOMENT. Realizing how excited and happy they would be just rips the energy out of me. 2020 is the worst year. Ya Allah Reham.
