What was something you expected yourself to "outgrow" only to find yourself keeping it after you got older?
Pretty though question. I can't say I ever "expected" to "outgrow" much of what I do now, but the fact that I still play primarily older kids' games and watch cartoons is pretty remarkable, I suppose.
The fact that I'll still play old nostalgic games from time to time is not something I expected to go on for so long, but here we are, and I overall would say I prefer older games to newer ones.
I guess cartoons fit the answer pretty well. In 2009-ish (during the dreaded CN Real era), I kind of stopped watching cartoons all together, and starting watching channels like History Channel, or Discovery Channel, or Animal Planet. Even 12 year old me preferred those channels' content over CN Real or Nick's offerings at the time. So I guess during that time, I "outgrew" cartoons, and preferred reality shows on those channels. Then in like 2012, 2013, my interest in cartoons was really reinvigorated by probably Regular Show was what did it. And here we are today. Actually cartoons differ from games to me, in that (right now at least), lot of my favorite cartoons were made in the last 5 years, although I still like some old ones, the new ones are pretty great.
Long answer, may or may not have mad much to do with the question, but it was the best I could do.
