do you have weeb rl friends?

I have a friend who is a massive weeb. He does stuff like going to cons and collecting manga and his favorite anime are Steins;gate and Angel Beats. My discussions with him don't prove to be very productive.
My best friend used to watch anime. She likes stuff like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptors Sakura, Lain, Madoka, K-On, Samurai Champloo, and I've had nice conversations with her about anime. (She never finished Utena tho, RIP)
I have an assortment of other friends who like/liked Attack on Titan, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc

Who are your all time favorite composers in anime and tell me why?

I don't pay much attention to composers. I guess Yoko Kanno and Kouhei Tanaka

Where did your name come from?

I made it up when I was ten. (I was really into Pokemon when I was ten.)

Have you ever considered casually blogging about anime? I think there would be people out there that would be interested in reading your thoughts and seeing more of your perspective on the medium than Twitter would allow.

I have thought about it more than a couple times. Stay tuned. Maybe. Or maybe not.

Spring impressions so far?

1. Sound! Euphonium - KyoAni being good again. One thing that's worth mentioning is how they are still finding ways to reinvent themselves and make something very different in tone and mood from K-On/Hyouka/etc despite always working within the same setting
2. Kekkai Sensen - hasn't done anything with its story or characters to entice me (yet, at least) but the visual flavor keeps me going. (This wouldn't be worth the time of the day without Rie tbh)
3. JoJo - Hol Horse is the best
3. Ore Monogatari - it's cute, but very conventional and is becoming syrupy. Has to do something interesting soon.
4. Show by Rock!! - still in love with the CG.

favorite active studio in the industry?

KyoAni. They are hit-or-miss with the source material they choose, but they have done some stellar work in the past six years (K-On!!, Hyouka, Tamako Love Story and now Euphonium). In terms of production quality, they outdo every TV anime studio in the industry (bar big BONES/A-1 productions and whatnot) and their usual style of naturalistic character animation + heavily-filtered digital photography works very well with me.
(If you mean "any studio that still exists and is still making anime", the answer would be Gainax or Madhouse, but almost everybody that I like in either of them has left, so I'd rather give this to somebody who is making great stuff now like KyoAni)

Opinions on the different mediums/websites to discuss anime that you use/have tried?

I haven't really used any but Twitter, which I think is pretty good.

LOL, I should be more specific. I was talking about actual cartoons, like Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Over the Garden Walls, Gravity Falls...

I haven't watched Cartoon Network in a long time, so I dunno about those. The few eps of Adventure Time I've seen were pretty cool though
For older stuff (going mostly from memory):
Dexter's Laboratory
Powerpuff Girls (moreso the later seasons)
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Cow and Chicken
Time Squad
Samurai Jack
Grim & Evil
Flapjack
Spongebob S1-3
Fairly Oddparents S1-5
