Not really, he's just cocky. Bertolt and Marco both were going to join the Military Police and they definitely weren't cowards.
The survival rate for the scout regiment is only 30% so it's sort of understandable that they would all think he was a bit bizarre for wanting to join.

I feel Eren is hiding his feelings because like you said he knows he could be killed at anytime but it could also be to protect Mikasa from the pain of losing him if anything were to happen to him but she got depressed when Armin said that Eren was dead she almost gave up to join him in death

Honestly I think when the series ends they'll get together. I mean when Mikasa is having trouble she pulls the scarf that Eren gave her up over her face. Erwin has said that the reason he isn't married with kids is because he doesn't know when he'll die so it's more than likely Eren feels that way too.

Some people only need to be shown a move once to pick it up but he had to show he wasn't a guy to be messed with

Me and my brother both do Muay Thai (hella happy because that's Annie's fighting style) so I understand that :)
I think Jean came across as a coward to Eren because all Eren wanted to do was fight the Titans beyond the walls and Jean wanted a comfortable life which is probably understandable to us watching/reading but the way Jean acted towards Eren's choice was pretty pretentious and I'm guessing Jean having a crush on Mikasa didn't really help things

Eren definitely is, or he might just be hiding his feelings because he thinks he's going to die any day.
There's a panel in the manga where Mikasa is almost confessing her feelings.

What do you think of Eren flipping Jean after he fought Annie in the hand to handtraining

Tbh as much as Jean is one of my favourite characters he was a total ass towards Eren to begin with and I can understand why Eren felt like that was the way to get through to him.
Also, i'm hella impressed that he learnt that just from Annie doing it to him and Reiner

I lent Left 4 Dead 2 to someone ages ago and I never got it back T_T
The first one is amazing tho

Ok so I re-read chapter 69 and the shirt Levi had on is the one his mother died in and in every single panel of him as a kid he's wearing that shirt and i just want to cry like he cared about his mama so much and that's all he had to remember her by and I bet he still has that shirt somewhere
