Are there any "gourmands" who treat Red Eye Parasites as delicacies?

It's not impossible, but they'd certainly keep it a secret! Anything related to Red Eye is seen as filthy and unclean, so it would be seen as like eating dung.
They probably don't taste very good, either. I imagine their meat as quite sour, almost bile flavoured. Yuck. Still, there's no accounting for taste!

hey so as a qm i think you've made some likeable protagonists and epic adventures, but what do you think separates ira from henryk, personality wise? i find them quite similar (which i don't mind) but it'll be nice to see your input as a writer.

Ultimately, Ira and Henryk did end up being more similar than I originally planned. When I first started NBQ, I imagined Henryk as being a colder character than Ira - motivated more by self-interest, and more willing to use other people. It didn't quite work out like that, once I got into writing, which is something I do regret a little
Ultimately, I guess I just like that kind of grumpy, weary character. Next quest I run, though, I'm going to be very careful to take a different approach

How much experience with SMT did you have when you first run your Devil Summoner quest? How much experience with the franchise would you recommend on having for someone thinking on doing something similar?

I didn't have a whole lot of hands-on experience, honestly. The only games I'd played at that point had been Nocturne and the Digital Devil Saga games. For everything else, I did a little online research.
As for experience, I'd say it's more important to get the "feel" right than the precise details. If you've got enough experience to know the mood, that should be enough. The little details, I think, are less important

what was you favorite part of Sleeping Gods, whether to write or how it turned out?

It's hard to pick a favorite, but the short arc with Tawn's injuries and Musari turning traitor was pretty intense to write. Then again, anything involving Nodens was pretty high up there as well!

How did Astrid shape up to be a ruler?

A little inexperienced in certain matters, but otherwise successful. She has the trust and support of the people, and her brief experience of war gave her valuable perspective. Overall, I'd say she makes a good leader!

>Tank Princess< Excuse me?

It's a kinda silly idea I had, and I wanted to get it out of my system before starting something longer. The base idea is, you've got to get a member of the royal family from one side of a warzone to the other. Using a tank.
I expect to have my next "serious" project ready by next week!

> Petra's family had a business, so she might well have ended up taking that over. // Really? Was it a big business? It seemed like she wanted to get away from that if I remember right. She was smart enough to learn another language and go to college abroad. What did she want to do with her life?

It was a factory, kind of an industrial thing. Although it was a good, profitable business, it's also pretty boring - not the sort of thing a young woman might want to be tied down with. Studying abroad was almost an act of rebellion, and it might not not have lasted forever.
So, in the absence of anything else she really wanted to do with her life, I could see Petra returning to the family business. It's not ideal, but it's a living!

If the Devil Summoner Trio grew up normally what professions would you think they would have had?

Hmm, interesting question. I could see Mia following her father into science, although I'm not sure what she might focus on. Petra's family had a business, so she might well have ended up taking that over. Amelia, I'm not so sure about - potentially, I could see her going into the army. I think she'd welcome the chance to push herself.
I wouldn't take those as confirmed canon though - they're just my opinions!

Was there any other lands like Tenngaru out there? With people and gods still living outside of Makai? And was the mainland of Makai the entire world or were there other continents out there unaffected by Selene N Crew's Life Drain?

I like to think that there were other lands in the same world as Tenngaru, although they were very distant. Those lands were unaffected by the the life drain, so they could well have people and gods living there.

>younger man< Will people offer him ears as tribute?

Well, it would certainly give him something else to be grumpy about - even as a legend, Ira can't live that down!

So according to Maia's case legends of real humans can become gods? Does that mean Ira or I guess Ira's legend could become a god thousands of years from now?

Potentially, yes. Gods can be born out of human superstitions, legends and fears, so if Ira made enough waves, he could very well end up with legends of his own. Of course, they might not be perfectly accurate - he might be remembered as a younger man!

Back in Devil Summoner what made you choose to do a Nocturne Style Apocalypse (Handful of humans left, most of the cast are demons) as opposed to the other mainline games where there are still a lot of human survivors?

Simple answer? I felt it would be easier. Dropping the characters into an apocalypse immediately took away the need to keep normal day to day life into account. Devil Summoner was my first attempt at a quest, and I figured that a system like that would be easier to manage. Less chance of something completely throwing me off or taking me by surprise, in other words.
That said, Nocturne is probably my favourite SMT game, so it was natural that I looked more to that for inspiration than the other games.

You mentioned that the military pretty much controls all of the official forms of information in the capital. What about the unofficial ones? Like if she was willing, could Murasa use her underground contacts to spread rumors (facts) throughout the populace? Just to get some other form of info out?

There are definitely unofficial channels that people use, and the gossip is far from regulated. As it is, people are pretty open about their skepticism regarding the official story. On the other hand, rumors and gossip can get twisted around very quickly, so people will always view them as a dubious source of information.
So, Murasa could definitely put forwards a more accurate version of events, but it might not stay accurate for long.

....shouldn't you be updating Under?

Yeah, that. Turns out I'm not as good at writing that kind of thing. I won't say it's cancelled, but I don't have as much free time to work on it as I used to. If I can get back into the rhythm of writing it, it shouldn't be so bad.

You think it's possible to get the cultist cells that broke off from Seer in a room with Ira to talk? Don't know if Soma could help with that. Without Seer they are without guidance and I'd rather Ira get to them first to give them some before they get bad advice or escalate things independently.

It would be difficult. Typically, they don't have a whole lot of leadership. I do have a certain amount prepared, though, that involves Soma. She still has a few contacts left.

So did our article have any effect on anything other than making Aya a target? That whole plot kinda got eclipsed by the Capital attack before anything came of it it seems.

The capital attack did draw a lot of attention away from it within the capital itself, but the word still got out. Without going into too many specifics yet, it's made the Seer's life that little bit more difficult.

>Progress is still a fair way away from the Dragon's Head, so there's still plenty of time to try and arrange something in that regard. // Is Sho still considering making a trip out there to meet Lapis? The recent attack probably shook him up a bit so I don't know if he forgot about the offer.

The idea of meeting Lapis isn't off the agenda yet, even if Sho might be safer remaining within the palace. We'll be in the Dragon's Head next thread, so I'll make sure to include the option of raising the issue with the priests there.

how much of the Rail is actually done? Would it still be possible to do the tunnel under Dragon's Head?

It's coming along very slowly, considering recent events. Progress is still a fair way away from the Dragon's Head, so there's still plenty of time to try and arrange something in that regard.
Originally, I had a small section planned that would show the rail being built, but we ended up going to Garuna by boat instead.

Best girl? / At the barest glances we've had of the girls so far, she'd be my top pick. Between her resembling Amelia and P5's navigator resembling P2129Q's navigator (Hacker Hermit) we got a Atlus conspiracy. Waiting for Biker-chan to rescue some cute, foreign, Eastern European transfer student.

Conspiracy or no, I've got to say that Atlus has not disappointed with the cute girls on offer in P5. I eagerly await playing it.
Eventually. Being Europe is suffering.

New P5 Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKZtJmt85ns // That girl at 1:23/2:37 remind you of someone like she did me? >Dark hair >Fistfighter >Uses 1 Pistol >Looks to have a temper >Motorcycle >Looks to be a tomboy. All she needs is Ripper as her Persona yeah? (He'd fit in P5's theme honestly)

Good lord, I didn't notice that the first time. That really is quite uncanny! Best girl confirmed, perhaps?

Dungeon Life is still up and all the 'go to /qst/' shitposting is getting deleted. Getting mixed signals on this whole thing, but it seems like questing on /tg/ is still allowed for the time being. I'd say keep running as status quo.

I've noticed that, actually. It's very strange - I wonder if there are differences in opinion among the higher ups? I'd like to run as normal but I'm still a little wary, especially about running at such a hostile time. I'll post updates to my twitter when I know what I'm doing.

Well... LL worked his magic. http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html Still wouldn't blame you if kept trying to run on /tg/ though.

At the moment, my current plan is to wait and see what happens. I'm very glad that LL was able to come through - archival was one of my biggest problems with /qst/. I'll probably take a week off and see what the situation is after that. I might try running on /tg/ again, though. I'd certainly like to stay there.

How big Tenngaru? Like what country or state would you say is similar in size to Tenngaru?

It's actually a very small place. I'd say it's roughly similar to Britain in size, in that people can realistically travel from one end to the other in a matter of days rather than weeks or months.

Fuck I just got the implications behind Soma not knowing the purpose over the mass relocation of cultists. It implies her previous 'South-east' warning doesn't carry any more weight she would be privy to the attack otherwise. We probably need to see Ra ASAP with this knowledge though it might b2late

Soma has fallen out of favour with the Seer, largely due to her growing uncertainty. Once, her willingness to question was seen as an advantage, but as the situation has grown worse for the Seer she has become a liability. So, in this case, she wasn't told about the relocation.
In either case, I think there might be some value in taking this to Ra, maybe even bringing Soma to him. You might be right about it being too late, though!

You don't need to confirm, I just want to say what I think could have happened if we failed that second roll: The "avatar" of the Ring of the Faceless would start piggybacking in Ira's mind. Destroying the ring would only prevent new instances of appearing, but Ira would be permanently "infected".

While I won't confirm anything, let's just say that we got pretty lucky by scraping that pass!
