What do you think of people like George Galloway blocking people on facebook and Twitter if the even politely disagree with him? I think it's incredibly cowardly.
Galloway's reasons are pathetic. But with the greatest of reluctance to defend that idiot in any way, if you have any sort of serious number of followers on social media you rapidly find that if you don't block people you simply don't get anything done.
It's human nature to react to abuse, and you end up getting drawn in and wasting hours and hours having the same arguments over and over with people who are never going to be won round. If you want to remain sane, a hair-trigger block policy is the only way.
